Time to Plan Your Winter Getaway

It is now time to start planning what to do after the big Christmas Holiday rush.  I am now taking sign-ups for the A to Z Workshop in Mt. Dora, FL.  This workshop follows the Mt. Dora "Central Florida Dulcimer and Autoharp Festival".  Stephen Seifert and Rick Thum will be doing a concert on the Sunday afternoon between the two events.  You can sign up for the workshop by going to the "Teacher" tab then to the "A to Z" tab or Click Here. The Mt. Dora Festival information can be seen on my "Events Schedule" under the "Performer" tab.  No relatives or family needs, just your music friends to share the fun with. Wow!  What a great way to chase away the winter blahs.  Hope to see you there.

Break the Winter Blues

Well winter is here and the Holiday Season is upon us.  Busy schedules and too many get togethers with family and friends.  Then it's over and the winter blues really set in.  What a great time to practice your music, learn new skills and in general make some improvements.  Why not make that learning more fun and exciting by leaving the cold weather and going to sunny Florida for two back to back hammered dulcimer festivals.  The first being the Mt. Dora Dulcimer Festival, followed by a concert by The "Tri-Folkal String-band", and then my three day A to Z's of the Hammered Dulcimer.  You can sign up for these by simply going to my events schedule under the "Performer" tab or by clicking here.  It is a great way to shake off those winter blues and have some fun with your dulcimer family and friends while still learning those new skills.  Class sizes are small so sign up now to ensure your place.  Hope to see you there.

A to Z Workshops

Rick  is teaching his A to Z workshop in Evart Michigan this year (2013) on Monday - Wednesday, July15, 16 and 17, 2013.
There is still room to sign up.  If you are looking to increase your knowledge and skill level on the hammered dulcimer, this is the class for you.  The teaching is done in a chronological order which makes the learning easier to retain and more meaningful.  You will learn, not only, what to do to play better, but why.  Understanding the music theory as it relates to your instrument is critical to becoming  a better player.  Rick is known for his ability to teach this subject in a way that is easy to understand.  He opens the players eyes to seeing and playing the entire instrument with a new confidence that they now know what they are doing.  Sign up now, there is still room for this year.
If you miss the opportunity to take the Evart A to Z workshop, there is one being held in Mt. Dora, Fl from February 11-13, 2013.
You can sign up online for either of these workshops under the 'Teacher' tab,  then 'A to Z Workshop' or  Click Here.   You can sign up using the US Postal Service by going to 'Schedule', Then find the A to Z Workshop you want and click on it and print the page to get the form to mail in.     Click Here MI Click Here, FL
